School Overview

The School of Natural Sciences aims to develop specialized professionals with the practical skills needed in their fields, grounded in basic sciences, biomedical engineering, and biotechnology. The school also focuses on nurturing individuals who can adapt to the changing demands of society. It consists of five majors.

Introduction

The Medical Engineering major trains creative and innovative professionals who are highly competitive in the medical device industry, particularly in the areas of medical devices and high-value-added technologies, to lead the internationalization of the sector. The program provides specialized education grounded in fundamental sciences (mathematics, physics, chemistry) and a deep understanding of the human body (anatomy, physiology, medical terminology). It covers a broad range of topics, including diagnostic and therapeutic devices using biosignals and imaging, radiation equipment, clinical analysis tools, medical optics, biomaterials, biomechanics, rehabilitation engineering, and regulatory standards and testing certifications (RA) for medical device approvals.
