School Overview

The School of Natural Sciences aims to develop specialized professionals with the practical skills needed in their fields, grounded in basic sciences, biomedical engineering, and biotechnology. The school also focuses on nurturing individuals who can adapt to the changing demands of society. It consists of five majors.

Introduction

The Cosmetics Science major at Eulji University’s Department of Bioengineering aims to develop global experts in cosmetics R&BD (Research & Business Development). With the rapid growth of K-beauty, the domestic cosmetics industry has reached a global scale, creating an increased demand for professionals with expertise in cosmetics marketing and research and development. However, there is a shortage of experts with specialized knowledge and an advanced understanding of cosmetics research, development, and the industry. The program, led by faculty members with practical industry experience, offers a curriculum that integrates fundamental and advanced theories in "Skin Life Science" and "Cosmetic Chemical Engineering," alongside hands-on training. This prepares graduates to handle everything from product planning to research and development. The program is distinguished by its focus on practical education, emphasizing the development and execution of research plans with advanced expertise, and offering industry internships and access to expert networks. Graduates are equipped to become highly skilled professionals in the cosmetics industry. Moving forward, the Cosmetics Science major aims to become a leading department in Korea, known for producing top-tier cosmetics professionals through its specialized curriculum and strong employment outcomes.
